Week 11 Defense of Mandriun Epsilon Part 1 (Space Wolves vs Necrons)

Standing upon the bridge of the Blizzard's Howl, the battle barge of the Space Wolves, Kjarl Fellhammer stares at the various reports coming through the feeds of the status of his forces. After losses at the hands of the Eldar and Tyranids, the force of Vilka Fenrika has been sullen of late. Their bashful nature has grown cold and the ship hearth's and the fire in the hearts grow dim. Upon reaching a nearby Imperium world, in desperate need of supplies, the world is accosted by an emerging xenos force. Due to the local mechanicus magi accidentally opening a dormant Dolman gate. Which begins to spew out legions of Necrons warriors which ravish the nearby infrastructure. The planetary governor orders the force of Vilka Fenrika to stall the advance of the Necrons so the local PDF and additional guard regiments may be organized. Through angered at the tone of this 'order', Kjarl is emboldened to restore morale and the fire of Morkai to his forces and his brothers.

Upon reaching the advancing Necrons forces the forces of Kjarl FellHammer stand firm in their slow advance. "Do not fear these metal xenos brothers, for though not made of flesh, their threads may be cut still! Let us show that the AllFather's executioners still have a fight in them yet!". After a brutal advance on the massed necrons forces in the center, Kjarl Fellhammer led his Wolf guard terminators smashing through the front lines, while his brothers covered his flanks. Though the battle was tough going and casualties were amassed the sheer ferocity of the space wolves were able to claim victory and halt the advance of the Necrons. The remaining forces of the Necrons fell back to the Dolman gates in order to protect them from future advances. Meanwhile, the forces of the Space Wolves, though not as defensive as Dorn's imperial fists, dug in and awaited the new reinforcements of the Armageddon steel legion to aid them in disabling the Dolman gates on Mandriun Epsilon for good.
