Week 8 Tyranids (Zhang) vs Space Wolves (Kyle B) -Tyranids Victory

Upon coming out of the warp for resupply for a nearby planet, the strike cruiser Blizzard's Howl attempted to vox the planet below with no success. Having decided to investigate the planet's surface and knowing about the ongoing Tyranid incursions in the sector Kjarl Fellhammer deployed his forces on the planet below. Once deployed upon the planet with his fellow brothers Belek immediately noticed the signs of Tyranid infestation. As if on cue a large hoard of Tyranids swarmed out of the mist and descended on the Space Wolves' position being led by a dreaded Swarmlord. Kjarl smiled seeing the opportunity to do the murder make he roared with his brothers and rushed forward to battle 'For RUSS AND THE ALLFATHER'.





In the first Salvos of battle, the veteran Long fangs perched on top of the near-tall structure were able to injure the dreaded swarm lord while Bjorn the Fell-handed brought the beast down with a shot from his own lascannon. Meanwhile, Hkjarl's brother rushed forward with his thunderwolf cavalry to meet the creeping genestealers in an attempt for glory and bloodshed. While tearing down the xenos a foul Tervigon and their brood descended on Aesir's force with a vile cunning and proceeded to devour his guard leaving him alone to face the beast. While on the right flank, a deathleaper attacked a group of grey hunters out of the mist attempting to hold ground against the Tyranid swarm, the grey hunters had now become the hunted.




With his trusted land raider redeemer and his retinue of wolf guard terminators, Kjarl Fellhammer led the charge in the middle of the battle field, slaying a Psycophage while the land raider redeemer used its flame storm cannons to burn away the termagant hoards, however out of his bloodlust and greed for glory the land raider was not able to slay the endless swarm of termagaunts and they were able to continue to spoil the supplies and infect the surrounding area. On the left flank, Aesir was left with the Tervigon and eventually fell attempting to hold against the onslaught of the swarm. With the flanks almost lost to the Tyranids the battle looked more troubled than suspected. Kjarl Skyclaws then descended from the heavens in an attempt to even the odds they captured the backline but were then devoured by the swarm. To make the situation worse for the Vilka Fenrika, the Parasite of Mortrex descended from the sky and proceeded to seed and devour the long fangs stationed in the back line.

However, the Vilka Fenrika stood firm, in the final hours of the battle, Bjorn the FellHanded took revenge upon the dreaded tervigon slaying it with his armored might, while Kjarl and land raider attempted to address the cunning swarms of termagaunts on the right flank. When the fog of war dispersed on the battlefield the Space Wolves were more numerous on the field with the remaining termagaunts scuttling back into the shadows.



Believing they won the Vilka Fenrika rejoiced but however, the true cunning of the Tyranids was on display as they terminally infected the much-needed supplies and the planet itself. Kjarl Fellhammer howls to fall back to the Blizzard's Howl and collect the wounded for he knows now that the planet is lost to the cunning Xenos. They must now continue on their quest for glory in the proxion sector with their diminished supplies vowing to return vengeance on the fowl Xenos for the offense on the Allfather's territory of the Proxion sector.
