Antikytheran Knight

A limping, derelict abomination reported in the Proxion sector.



Antikytheran Knight! Elder among all surviving Knights Houses, this ancient mecha warlord is dragging its forgotten and now forbidden technology along the battlefields of the galaxy.

Sometimes fighting on mankind side with other Freeblades,
Sometimes seen joining forces with the Dark Mechanicum,
Always following its own unfathomable agenda across the stars since long before the rise of the Imperium.

This knight is no ordinary machine piloted by a devoted noble. Some speak about the damages sustained by its adamantium carcass, the heat, the radiation, the technovirus... Weapons that would have submitted any other of the bravest Knight if not annihilated any lifeform in it's cockpit.

Some others speak about the wires, moving around its mechanical body like living snakes. Shortcutting systems, repairing others, selfhealing maybe. But none would say so too loud, afraid of what the existence of such arcanic tech would imply.

No pilot ever seen also. In fact, no hull access to a Throne Mechanicum of some sort. Thinking of the Antikytheran Knight as some ancient autonomous machine spirit of long forgotten science is not a far stretch. But the engravings and designs of the hull leave place to no imagination. This walking monster is a tomb. And the idea that whichever ancient hero was buried and sealed within the archaic mechanism more than 20 millenias ago is somewhat still alive and rampaging planets as a derelict binary form of consiousness is just too much to bear for most beings...

... Maybe because those beings ignore how far this galaxy of madness and fury can drive some people with a sole purpose in mind...
